Their attention to key details such as lighting take their work from looking like any other average production and gives the eyes something to really look at that can trick your mind into thinking that you are looking at the real world. ![]() They give the impression that you are watching everything through a camera lens but the camera lens also happens to be in a cartoon world. In day life, it can be found in the fields of robotics, sculpted art like the Wax museums such as Madame Tussauds and Hollywood Wax Museum. The “valley” refers to the dip in a graph of the comfort level of beings as subjects move toward a healthy, natural likeness described in a function of a subject’s aesthetic acceptability. The uncanny valley is a theory that is used in visual esthetics when features look and move almost, but not completely like natural real life which causes the eyes and the mind respond with confusion and revulsion among some observers. Movies such as the “Polar Express” and “Tintin” have been the top mentions of this theory. Ember Lab crosses the lines with their work and bring audiences into the uncanny valley. The human characters in movies such as Up or The Incredibles are carefully made just cartoonish enough. Most animated films stop at the uncanny valley’s edge.
